True the Vote Wins Stunning Court Ruling Against IRS in Lois Lerner Scandal

We can win in the courts!  Finally, the IRS and Lois Lerner were found guilty of numerous charges.  And, they will pay for their corruption.  Please note that you did not find this in the mainstream media that the IRS was found GUILTY of corruption—and this is just the start.

“- The True the Vote v. IRS lawsuit has finally come to a close with a stunning ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton ruling in favor of True the Vote; penalizing the IRS with maximum attorneys fees due to their unconstitutional discrimination against the group and their unethical behavior in the case.

This decision marks the end of a nearly decade long battle that first began in 2010, when federal government agencies including the IRS, DOJ, FBI, ATF, OSHA weaponized against True the Vote and its founder, Catherine Engelbrecht. Under Obama Administration leadership, the agencies leveled a barrage of attacks, including twenty-three audits, investigations, and inquiries, against the group in an attempt to stop their work in election integrity. “

At one point the IRS got Child Services to try to take Ms. Engelbrechts’ children from her—this is how vicious Lerner and the crowd became, to stop honest elections.  To stop those exposing the corruption of elections.

**************************************************************************************************************

With this decade long battle behind True the Vote, the organization will now turn its effort to the 2020 election cycle, partnering with Our Values, a veterans’ rights organization founded by Benghazi hero Mark “Oz” Geist. The collaboration will focus on active and veteran military voter registration, recruiting and training for volunteer service as poll workers, and other GOTV activities targeted to mobilizing military and veteran families in the 2020 election.

This was a 6 year battle against the IRS and Lois Lerner. Too bad Lerner didn’t go to jail…

But this organization works to ‘true the vote’. We need them for the 2020 election! Thank the good Lord they won this and the IRS will also pay their legal fees. That’s our tax dollars. Maybe we should all send a written letter our president and our congressmen to say we don’t appreciate paying for lawlessness in our government!

  1. Love to know what the punishment to lying Lois Lerner is. She left her job and gets a pension. Haven’t heard anything about this in the news.

  2. Reblogged this on Lauren Creech's Random Thoughts and commented:
Yes, the courts do work sometimes; slowly though in this case.

    • I worked in the medical liability section of the courts. You better think twice before suing a doctor or hospital. I had one case that finally settled after 12 years. And that only because this frivolous law suit aged but the couple who brought it aged as well. Their fragility would have made a poor showing for the hospital. Too much jury empathy. So, we settled for $xxxxx

      • I ran my own IT consulting firm for 21 years dealing with HIPAA primarily, that gets really ugly some days. The lawsuits, yeah I’m glad I’ll never have to deal with that again.

  3. This is great news, tannngl, although it’s a stain on this nation that it took so many years to be resolved. I can’t help but wonder if the tide is finally turning since I saw this story the other day:

“Oberlin College in Ohio will have to pay a nearby bakery more than $11 million in damages because it libeled the store, tagging it as racist, and interfered with its business, a jury said on Friday. Gibson’s Bakery came under fire after Allyn Gibson, the owners’ son, got into a physical altercation with a black student who reportedly tried shoplifting and using a fake ID at the store, The Chronicle-Telegram said. Two other black students got involved, appearing to prompt accusations of racial profiling. The three students eventually pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges and read statements defending Allyn Gibson’s right to detain them. They also read statements claiming that his actions weren’t racially motivated, but within days of the incident, students were turning out for protests fueled by accusations of racist intent. The jury found the school and Oberlin’s vice president and dean of students, Meredith Raimondo, guilty of libel after Raimondo allegedly helped pass out flyers claiming that the bakery was “racist” and had a history of “racial profiling and discrimination.” The jury also found that the college (not Raimondo) was guilty of intentional infliction of emotional distress for the owner, David Gibson, as well as libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress on his son.”

If conservatives keep winning we might start seeing a change in political philosophy in the lawyer ranks, eh? But as you noted above, the victories would be much sweeter if the real perps – not taxpayers and schools – had to pay for their misbehavior. Somehow the real bad guys always manage to go relatively unscathed.

    • Great summary-I saw that one too.I can only hope and pray the culture ship is turning 180.
As I said to vonmesser: Why are those in government above the law? I that was you they’d throw away the key.
I would like to see more justice bestowed to the real criminals.

  4. Really needs to be prison time and loss of pensions involved in this.
And not just among the IRS.

    • They should be in prison. I have 0 tolerance for people using government to take rights away from citizens. This makes me so angry.
But you’re right, Crawfish. Why should tax payers foor the bill? Lerner is retired on her govt pension. blech.

  6. This is a victory that was a long time in the making, so it is wonderful news. The only thing that would make it better is if the guilty people such as Lerner, etc actually got punished for their crimes. No doubt she was following orders, so we’re pretty sure it came from the top. Not a smidgen of a scandal though, right?
