Red-blooded Patriotic American

Our inherent American DNA strain is liberty and freedom. Within that core we achieve, drive, and transfer our united national essence into everything we do. Even the wealth and economics of our nation are dependent on this cornerstone; it drives our entrepreneurial existence. We know how to do things, create things, and think completely outside the box on new and innovative ideas for things.

Yes, we are exceptional like that.

 Florida Power and Light won the prestigious International Edward Demming award for excellence in multi-platform engineering and efficiency superiority. They didn’t blow every global PhD business intellectual out of the water with slide rules, CAD programs and engineering acumen. They did it with hard hats and dirty fingernails.

Because they lost the award, the Japanese spent 6 months studying FP&L and later published a 1,000 page dissertation essentially saying FP&L “wasn’t really good, they were just lucky”….. FPL field leadership laughed, took out markers and wrote on the back of their hard hats: “WE’RE NOT GOOD, WE’RE RUCKY”….

 When every single Kuwaiti oil field was blown up by Saddam Hussein, they said it would take 5 years to cap them all off and restart their oil pumping industry. The Kuwaiti’s and Saudi’s called Texans, who had them all capped and back in working order in 6 to 10 months.

We are a nation that knows how to get shit done.

 When the Northern Chile mine workers were trapped two miles underground, they said no-one could save them. Who did they call for help? A bunch of hick miners from USA coal country who went down there, worked on the fly, engineered the rescue equipment on site, and saved everyone of them….
That’s our America.

 When a half-breed Islamic whack job, armed with an AK-47 and a goal to meet his virgins, began opening fire on a train in France – the Americans on board didn’t run to the nearest safe room and hide themselves amid baguettes and brie. They said “let’s go”, and beat the stuffing out of that little Islamic nut with a death wish.

Legion d’Honneur or not, that’s us. That’s just how we roll.

Lady Liberty can stroll along the Champs-Elysées with a swagger befitting Mae West because without her arrival they’d be speaking German in the Louvre. Yet for the better part of the past decade a group of intellectual something-or-others have been teaching an insufferable story-line that it’s better to be sitting around a campfire eating sustainable algae cakes and picking parasites off each other.
Enough.

When I hear Donald Trump say “Let’s Make America Great Again”, I also hear the familiar echo “cowboy up” people.

It’s high time we stop being embarrassed about our exceptional nature, and start being proud of it again. Because when it matters most, when it really counts, when it’s really needed, there’s a whole bunch of people all around this world of ours that are mighty happy when swagger walks in to solve their problems.

Yeah, “let’s make America great again”.

Swagger on !

  1. It turns out that a similar concern to the bowing/apology tour of Obama has been the cowed, spineless subservience of the GOP to the constant Dem corruption in elections. It has been infuriating, right?

Well, the RNC had been hamstrung by a Consent Decree dating back to 1982 which forbade them from even questioning Dem corruption. As a result, the Dems got more and more brazen to the extent that this year they are “creating” false ballots by the truck load. That Consent Decree was finally vacated this last January.

But Trump has authorizes embeds into the electoral offices in 19 states and 35 locales. Might there be some shenanigans uncovered? Charges cannot be filed until the election results are certified.

    • Isn’t that the same Consent Degree where the Dems drug an old judge out of the mothballs every few years and have him renew it? I’d forgotten about it and the problems the GOP had with putting an end to it, but if it’s finally dead, then that’s a real game-changer.

Funny, but not surprising, that we haven’t seen much about it in the headlines.

      • LOL! Right, Kathy! Though the vacating did take place back in January, so that makes it “old news”!

But, come to think of it, they didn’t report it loudly back then!

Then again, neither did POTUS Trump!

Gee! Why would he keep it on the down low, unless he intended to USE IT!!???

A lot of us never stopped being proud, even when our apologetic president showed no pride in our country. Now we have a leader who is anything but apologetic and isn’t afraid to brag about our accomplishments, and the numerous times we’ve helped other countries.

  3. Eight long years of the Obama presidency changed the world’s expectations for the U.S. Other nations were becoming accustomed to our apologetic, subservient posture, so that now a simple thing like expressing pride in America is construed as being offensive. If the people of, say, Nigeria or Cuba, demonstrated pride in their countries the liberals would find that charming and would applaud it. Only when a country actually has good reason to be proud does the Left take umbrage.

Curtmilr, I also think he has something with being a nationalist, though apparently the French don’t realize this is a synonym for patriot. I say this as I think of all the bickering between ‘interests’ we continue to see in our country. Yet we are all Americans. IF we don’t find common ground, I fear we could end up like Afghanistan, where tribal bickering has been tearing apart the country for centuries. Think how much better their situation would be if only they could all decide to love their country. IMHO, same thing for us, no matter what color, size, shape, gender, etc. we’re all citizens of the USA, so if we focus on that instead of the differences, it would make a huge difference in our attitudes – possibly even our individual happiness and creativity.

    • Agreed, foguth! Trump uses the word to mean Patriot, and has repeatedly said that Patriots come in all colors. He continually touts the success of his economic reforms in creating greater employments opportunities for citizens of color. To try to hand “White Nationalist” on him is blatantly false!

As to interests, the most significant organized interests are parties. I believe we will soon see that there was an organized attempt to steal this election by the Democrats. Federal oversight does not take control until results are certified. Meanwhile, the administration has had “observers” in place in 19 states and 35 locations thru this election. Most were embedded as employees undercover.

The weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth will be extreme, but if what I have heard is correct, the evidence will be undeniable and overwhelming!

      • Curtmilr, you and I agree on many things including the suspicion that there was an organized effort to steal this election (past ones, too). And yes, on the surface this appears to be a fight for dominance between the Republicans and Democrats. However, when I add in the megabucks being donated by Soros, a Globalist, and acknowledge that not all globalists are Democrats, I’m wondering if we can also state that the division is between Globalists and Nationalists.
That suspicion is underscored by Macron’s hissy-fit over the word “Nationalist’, which obviously was a very bad concept for him… Either there was a faulty translation, or he is another Globalist sympathizer.
IMHO, the world would be much better off if each and every country embraced patriotism for their country and looked for common ground instead of petty points to feud over.
