Per Fox News:
“Hours after CNN’s New York City headquarters were evacuated over an explosive device Wednesday, the network’s president, Jeff Zucker, issued a statement condemning President Trump and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, saying they ‘should understand their words matter.'”
Can you believe the chutzpah of Jeff Zucker, president of the unceasingly critical and profoundly biased CNN, complaining about Trump’s “attacks” on the media? Apparently Trump never got the memo to all Republicans that they are never to stand up for themselves and fight back against the leftwing media’s siege on them, as this is the standard that’s long been practiced. Or maybe Trump got the memo and he laughed at it before crunching it into a little ball and hurling into the trashcan.
Based upon research conducted by the Pew Research Center, the Washington Examiner concluded, in December of 2017, that:
“The media’s coverage of President Trump has been overwhelmingly negative, more than three times more critical than the initial coverage of former President Barack Obama and twice that of former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.”
What’s that you were saying about words mattering, Mr. Zucker? Does this apply to the millions of words printed and spoken by the mouthpieces at CNN during every minute of every day? Is it possible that your biased and unrelenting criticism of Donald Trump and his administration has led to the growing hostility by your devoted readers, some of whom have increasingly engaged in the physical harassment of members of the Trump administration and other conservatives? Let’s tweek your quote just a bit and see if your own words can be just as easily applied to you:
There is a total and complete lack of understanding in the so-called “mainstream” media about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the President and his administration. CNN, and especially some of its more hostile reporters, should understand their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that.” – CW
Yep – it works!
Pot, meet kettle.
