I’ve never been a fan of Lindsey Graham – to me, he’s always been John McCain’s sidekick that would trot by his side to the nearest camera, like a loyal pup and ‘ditto’ everything the elder senator said. He was mediocre as a presidential candidate in 2015 and one of the early ones to go.
So to see him Thursday with a fire in his gut and spewing like a volcano was quite a surprise. That’s not an over-exaggerated headline because for a minute there, I thought he was going to blow a vein. Graham started out calm, and then the longer he talked, the louder he got, and just looking at his face, you could see how completely disgusted he is with the situation that Feinstein and her cohorts in crime have created.
While looking at the Democrats on the committee, he said:
“What you want to do is destroy this guy’s life, hold this seat open, and hope you win in 2020. You’ve said that. Not me.”
Then he turned and looked at Judge Kavanaugh and said:
“You’ve got nothing to apologize for. When you see Sotomayor and Kagan, tell them that Lindsey said ‘hello’ because I voted for them. I would never do to them what you’ve done to this guy.”
Looking again at the Democrats on the panel, he said:
This is the most unethical sham since I’ve been in politics. Boy, you all want power. God, I hope you never get it. I hope the American people can see through this sham — that you knew about it and you held it. You had no intention of protecting Dr. Ford. None.
Turning toward Kavanaugh again, “She’s as much of a victim as you are.”
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders praised Graham, saying he “has more decency and courage than every Democrat member of the committee combined. God bless him.”
Today they vote on Kavanaugh and I know which way Graham is voting and I hope his volcanic moment swayed the fence-sitters to come into the light. I still wouldn’t want him as our president, but Thursday he did us proud. He spoke up and he spoke the truth. Sarah got it right – God bless him.

Kudos for your post! I listened almost all day. It was very revealing or both, Kavanaugh and Ford. I now know the truth! And people may not say the words out loud, afraid to sound rude and hateful-much like speaking ill of an African American. But I will have my say. Kavenaugh was slandered by a liar. I KNOW it now.

Thanks, tannngl, It was interesting to watch and I for one was grateful for the time limits on each Senator, otherwise they’d still be raking him over the coals.
One of the Dems made a point of using Latin in his question and quoted a phrase that means for jurors if part of the testimony is unbelievable, then jurors can disbelieve all of the testimony. He was trying to use it against Kavanaugh regarding his beer drinking.
In my mind it applies far more aptly to Ford who can’t remember when or where the attack happened, but she was 100% positive it was him. I discredit all of her statements for that. When you tell the truth, it’s easier to remember the details. She was lying. Maybe she really was attacked, but it wasn’t Kavanaugh

Yeah, I’ve gotta agree.
I was listening on my car radio when Graham went off. Fortunately, I was parked in the lot at a local convenience store, or I might have run my car off the road in surprise at the idea that he’d actually grown a pair.
Who’da thunk it?
But whatever it was, he was most definitely the man of the moment, and stepped up to the plate when it mattered most. My kudos to him.

I’d seen him making a statement a day or two ago and he was pretty ticked off then, but I didn’t see this coming. And what he said was absolutely correct – it has been a sham and they used Ford as the pawn to discredit Judge Kavanaugh.
Even today leading up to the vote, they’re still trying everything they can to delay it. I already feel sorry for the next Trump nomination, should that situation occur.

I too applaud Sen. Graham. He was magnificent in the hearing! And real good on Hannity too!
I believe Graham was freed from a leash, that McCain had on him, when McCain died.
I wish Garnet could have seen that!
Yesterday may have been the turning point towards the salvation of the Republic!
Kavanaugh and Sen. Kennedy even invoked the mantle of Almighty God with regards to this nomination to change the course of the SCOTUS. That invocation was done in the full spirit of righteousness!

I wish Garnet could have seen that too – he would have been pleased and pleasantly surprised. Just saw Graham making a statement to the press and he’s calmed down considerably but he appears to still be upset with the Dems. I don’t blame him – this has been a smear of the worst kind for all the wrong reasons.

That was the first time that I’ve genuinely admired Graham and felt that he had values. Perhaps there is hope for rhinos.
In relation to Bescher’s comment, for a long time I’ve been hearing that the problems in today’s society are partly caused by ‘male toxicity’… My husband and I believe the reverse is the problem (seems like things being upside-down is common). We believe that many juvenile delinquents didn’t have other male figure-head, so they followed BO’s apologetically correct example … That has got to rankle, so it shouldn’t be surprising when they act out.
Dare I speculate that in large part, DJT might of gotten elected because he is an unapologetic alpha male?Dare I speculate that some DJT rubbed off on LG?

All these years we’ve been watching Graham tag along with McCain and he never appeared to have his own opinion. What we saw yesterday was quite the alpha male performance!

My sentiments exactly about Graham I always thought of him as another RINO but not yesterday. It seemed he found some male Genitals. Hopefully the other four RINO’s sitting on the fence Flake, Collins, Murkowski, and Corker find their way as well.

Agreed, bescher, who knew he had that kind of spunk? Last night I read that Corker came off the fence and will vote for Kavanaugh. From the pained look on Flake’s face yesterday, I think he will support him too, but we’ll find out later today.
