Part Four – Project Veritas Unmasks IRS Officials

By James O’Keefe and staff, 9-25-18, at Project Veritas:

Project Veritas has released the fourth story in a series of undercover reports which unmask the Deep State. This report features two Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officials who candidly discuss the IRS’s unfair treatment of conservative non-profit groups. The two officials in the report are Thomas Sheehy, an IRS tax examiner and member of the Austin Democratic Socialists of America in Texas, and Jerry Semasek, an IRS attorney in Washington, DC.

The Austin Democratic Socialists of America is a socialist group that works to advance ‘progressive issues’ in Austin, Texas.

Here are some of the responses from the government agencies following these stories’ publication:

When prompted by Project Veritas regarding the employment status of Natarajan Subramanian, GAO’s Public Affairs Managing Director Chuck Young issued this statement:

“Regarding your question, we cannot comment on his personnel status due to privacy laws. But he has been removed from any ongoing GAO work and cut off from access to GAO equipment. We have a rigorous quality control process with many reviewers that prevents one person from biasing our final reports. But we will also examine his work product as part of our investigation.”

Department of State comment:

“I can confirm Stuart Karaffa is a Management and Program Analyst with the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.

We take seriously any allegation of a violation of the Hatch Act and financial disclosure rules and are closely reviewing this matter.

This is a personnel matter that we cannot comment on further at this time.”

DOJ Statement:

“These allegations are deeply concerning. Department policy prohibits misuse of government resources to advance personal interests. We are looking into this immediately and have referred this matter to the Inspector General as well.”

You can click here to read the others, but I think it’s safe to say they do not have ‘a rigorous quality control process or these guys wouldn’t have time or the secrecy to participate in DSA activities.

  1. More and more, I am less and less amused.

    • Same here, VM. While O’Keefe and his team are doing great work at exposing these guys, he’s still just scratching the surface. This goes much further into the department and is rampant throughout our government, and the only people who seem to have a problem with it are us and Trump.

  2. You have that right. There is no ‘rigorous control’ in probably any of our federal government. And this investigation is very telling that the deep state anti-conservatives are still in power.
