Thank You

The other day I watched a fascinating series on Adolf Hitler.  Watching and listening to the history of the death, destruction and incalculable human suffering that he was able to bring to bear was a sad reminder of the evil that can get a foothold in this world, and the sacrifices that our men and women in our military make to protect our freedom.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you’ve done, all you are doing and all you will do.

  1. Our military are unsung heroes. Only in unusual circumstances do we hear of the heroism and commitment that our services provide EVERY SINGLE DAY, 24/7. While individuals may go on leave or R&R, the military as a whole is always on duty, regardless of weather or danger, they’re there serving as a buffer to keep the enemy from intruding on our daily lives. We owe them our peaceful lives.

  2. Amen, your majesty. (That queen thing did get a foothold.)

Without our military who knows where our country’s peoples would be today. Probably speaking German or Japanese and under a ruthless tyrraneous rule.

I am so grateful for what we have which is due to our military.

Remember though, that the Continental army was not revered by many. At the time of the Revolution 1/3 of the colonists actually were FOR the British and another 1/3 really didn’t care.

    • I’m sure the idea of declaring independence and going to war against their mother country was more than some of the colonists could fathom. I can see why that would be tough, whereas in Hitler’s case there was a cult of personality and a war of imperialism and aggression. Sacrificing and dying so that others will have freedom is noble and understandable. Sacrificing and dying so that one man can fulfill his dreams of expanding his power is a senseless, tragic waste.
