Berkeley Mayor Is Member of Antifa Facebook Group that Organized Riots

From: breitbart.com,  by Tom Ciccotta,  on Apr 21, 2017

Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin is a member of the anti-fascist Facebook group, By Any Means Necessary, which orchestrated the riots that occurred ahead of a scheduled lecture by Milo Yiannopoulos.

Berkley Mayor Jesse Arreguin was revealed to be a member of the anti-fascist group, By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), on Facebook. BAMN orchestrated the violence that shut down a scheduled lecture at UC Berkeley featuring Milo Yiannopoulos in early 2017. Arreguin is allegedly also friends with BAMN leader, Yvette Felarca, on Facebook.

They were also involved in the violent clashes earlier this month.

Yvette Felarca defended the violence that occurred ahead of Yiannopoulos’ scheduled event in a local television interview following the riots.

BAMN was investigated for engaging in terrorist activities in 2005 by the FBI. In 2009, the Department of Defense classified the group’s activities as “low-level terrorism.” In June 2016, BAMN led a violent counter-protest outside a white nationalist rally that resulted in ten people being hospitalized with stab wounds.

Often described as a “militant left-wing” activist group, BAMN frequently engages in violent forms of protests. A Berkeley newspaper noted in 2001 that the group was a front for an “an obscure Detroit-based Trotskyist political party called the Revolutionary Workers League.”

Breitbart News has reached out to Mayor Arreguin for comment.

So apparently, the Mayor of Berkeley and the police conspired to prevent the exercise of free speech at the University. And now we know why. He’s part of the problem, not the solution.

When Milo Yiannopoulos tried to speak at the University of California, Berkeley in February, police stood down and watched as a group of about 150 rioters overtook peaceful protesters and used metal rods, Molotov cocktails, and commercial-grade fireworks to destroy parts of downtown Berkeley. The rioters used what were called “Black Bloc” tactics, where mask-wearing rioters dressed head-to-toe in dark clothing and using crude weapons to attack people vandalize property.

They call themselves “Antifa” for “anti-fascists” when it’s plain that they are the fascists. That’s typical of the left; that they assign labels that sound good and promise much but are meaningless when it comes to actually describing the group’s real purpose. For example, take “By Any Means Necessary.” That phrase implies to me that they will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals and it’s apparent by their actions so far, that they are prepared to be violent.

Whatever happened to peaceful protests?

  1. Thanks for sharing this information, Garnet. It’s definitely crucial for people to see the faces of the enemy.

Yvette Felarca is living proof of how dangerous the ideologically stupid can be. However, I’m gratified to see that she believes people are justified in fighting their enemies “by any means necessary.” That means she won’t mind when her enemies embrace that same philosophy.

    • Your statement, “Yvette Felarca is living proof of how dangerous the ideologically stupid can be” is gold. That’s exactly right, she is dangerous.

Our problem is to finally get pushed enough to fight back – by any means necessary. We conservatives sometimes allow things to go a little far before we fight back. If I were still young and lived out there, I’d join the people in fighting back against these anarchists – by any means necessary. This isn’t going to go away by itself. Each time they’re successful in preventing a speaker, they’ll just get embolden to do it again. It’s already gone too long.

This organization is a communist inspired evil one that is terrorist in nature. Ms. Yvette Felarca, by the way, is a middle school teacher at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School. She has been disciplined since 2009 for her lies, bias at school teaching and her subversive behavior. Looks like they can’t get rid of her. I think she’s a psychopath. (Looked all of this up for my post on BAMN and this woman.)

Amazing post, Garnet. Thank you. People need to know…

    • You know what they say, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Looking at that from the liberal left means that anyone who is against US is a friend of theirs. That’s why we seem to be bombarded by these leftist anarchists along with Muslims and BLM all at once – they’re all after the same thing – the overthrow of our capitalistic Constitutional Republic. I agree, Ms. Felarca is trouble looking for a place to happen.

  3. That woman belongs in prison, and so does that sawed off mayor for supporting the violence! Of course he denies ordering the cops to stand down, but that’s the normal MO for libs like him.

Maybe it’s time to make an example out of Berkeley. Trump threatened to cut off funding, and although he can’t do it alone, Congress could. Show the country this is what happens when you continue the violence. The only way to get their attention is to get in their pockets.

    • She’s a piece of work, isn’t she? I remember when the Milo event happened and reports were saying that the police were just letting them go – now we know why, the Mayor himself may have been among them, decked out in black garb and masked. Who would know?

I’m going to be really pissed if someone (Trump or Sessions) doesn’t do something to rein in these lefty universities. And cutting off funds is a way to get their attention.
