Obama Deploying Dozen-Strong Team to ‘Keep Tabs’ on Trump Administration

From: breitbart.com,  by Ben Kew,  on Mar 7, 2017

Barack Obama has reportedly deployed a team to “keep tabs” on the Trump administration and attempt to preserve his legacy, according to the Huffington Post.

Since leaving office in January, the former president has tried to emulate the example of George. W. Bush by not commenting on actions taken by the new administration. Jen Psaki, Obama’s former communications director, recently said that “Obama’s inclination would be to follow the Bush model as a person.”

That resolve was broken this weekend as Obama responded to allegations from Donald Trump that he had wiretapped Trump Tower in the run-up to the last election, with his spokesman Kevin Lewis maintaining that “neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen” and that “any suggestion otherwise is simply false.”

Also, following Donald Trump’s first executive order temporarily halting immigration from seven terror prone countries, Obama released a statement stating that he “fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith.”

However, White House spokesperson Michael Short accused Obama of displaying a lack of courtesy, telling the Huffington Post, “It is disappointing that [Obama] isn’t affording President Trump the same courtesy that his predecessor showed toward him.”

Despite his pledge not to interfere, Obama reportedly has deployed a team of over a dozen operatives to “keep tabs on the unreported stories” relating to himself and the Trump administration. They work from an office in Washington D.C.

Obama has also participated in a “regular conference call” with his former aides, as well as making regular calls to Democrats in Congress, party leaders, and grassroots organizations. Organizing for Action (OFA), the nonprofit group heavily involved in Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, has partnered with the newly-formed Indivisible Project for “online training” on how to protest President Donald Trump’s agenda.

“For President Obama, this next chapter of his public service will focus on his core principle of grassroots engagement. This was previewed in his farewell address to the country, and has animated in his entire career in public life,” said Obama’s spokesperson Eric Schultz.

This has been widely reported before, in fact, some have said that the forces that Obama has deployed (his minions) number in the hundreds. All do not answer directly to him, but their sole purpose in life is to 1) damage Trump’s administration and, 2) protect Obama’s legacy. Make no mistake, Obama doesn’t intend to afford President Trump the same courtesy that was shown to him by his predecessor George W. Bush. He’ll continue his covert, under-the-covers interference in Trump’s affairs and if he can torpedo Trump, so much the better.

You can bet that, at the least, Obama knew about the surveillance of Trump’s campaign. As usual, you can’t take his statements at face value, they must be carefully parsed to read between the lines. For example, Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for Obama said in a statement, “As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen, Any suggestion otherwise is simply false.” The keywords to be noted state that “President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance.” Of course, HE didn’t order the surveillance, it would have come from Loretta Lynch or another surrogate, but you can bet the farm that Obama knew about it and supported it. All Lynch would have to do would be to say to Obama, “What if someone hacked Trump’s campaign to see what he’s up to?” Obama might have just smiled or given a “thumbs up” sign. He didn’t have to say the words, his underlings knew what he wanted and they just needed to get a nod or a smile to get his approval.

  1. Jen Psaki: “Obama’s inclination would be to follow the Bush model as a person.”

What a laughable, bald-faced lie. Obama never had any intention whatsoever of following the Bush model. His last months in officer were undoubtedly spent scheming about ways that he could undermine Trump and continue advancing the Left’s agenda regardless of the election. We know this because he’s an a**hole, and that’s precisely what an a**hole would do.

I don’t think there’s any question that Obama has an army of minions in D.C. and elsewhere helping him be an a**hole. Dictator-wannbes always have minions working with them.

    • Jen’s statement is a prime example of Leftspeak. It’s a statement that those naive among us will see or hear and think that there is some speck of truth there. Not a chance. Leftspeak is all about the image that the words paint, truthfulness doesn’t enter into their public statements at all. Throughout his terms, Obama painted rosy pictures with his rhetoric – none of which were anchored in fact. Like death and taxes, the other certainty in the universe is that Obama will lie whenever it benefits him. Period.

  2. Our problem is one thing and we are dumb
We are too nice. We don’t like to play dirty and we think if we play dirty everyone will think bad of us and won’t vote for us anymore. We need to get off our collective asses and play almost as dirty. Playing nice doesn’t get you anywhere

    • I’ll agree, our party “leadership” is too nice – actually, it’s more like they are afraid. For the most part, the Repub leadership are spineless wimps and so were the primary candidates that they pushed. That’s exactly why Donald Trump was elected, we voters got fed up with the go-along-to-get-along crowd who have been directing the Republican Party for the past 30 years and voted for change. We got it – at least in a president. Now we need change in Congress.

Did anyone seriously expect anything different?

    • No Brian, we (the informed) knew what we could expect even before his election – and he hasn’t disappointed – he governed just about the way we expected – that is to say that his record was shitty, his two terms were shitty, and his post-presidency will no doubt be shitty as well.

  5. Preserve his legacy?? Only a liberal narcissist would think that what he did for eight years is worth protecting. The damage he did to this country will take years to undo, if ever, yet he has the audacity to think it was worth spying on people so he could throw a monkey wrench into the works.

Even on inauguration day O tarried as long as he could, keeping himself in the picture and wouldn’t leave. Now he’s concerned about the “unreported stories relating to himself”. His mammoth-sized ego compels him to find out if Trump and his admin are talking about him. His maturity level is that of kids in junior high.

    • WE all know that Obama’s “legacy” is a steaming pile of crap, but he and his followers keep making noises as if he did things that they are proud of????? I can’t think of a single thing that Obama did that was worthy of pride. That just goes to show how out-of-whack their psyches are.

  6. This is the way of the left. All they want is control and power. Everything they say about us is really them through and through. They don’t care about the future ( per se) as long as they have control now

    • Well put, bescher. And spot on. As much as I hate to admit it, the left’s leadership is apparently smarter than our side since they seem to be able to maneuver around and do their dirty work and our side is sitting on their fat asses. The only thing that upset their apple cart this past election is that ordinary folks got fed up with democrats enacting un-Constitutional legislation while describing it as wonderful. They’ll lie, cheat, and obfuscate up a storm to gain and keep power, they just had a momentary lapse in 2016 when they let the election get away from them. If Trump can’t win over more ordinary democrats with his actions, we may never see another non-democrat president.
