The Federal Bureau of Investigations will reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server exclusively during her time as Secretary of State.
In a letter to Congress, FBI director James B. Comey revealed that the bureau had learned of more emails connected to the investigation.
“I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed by on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation,” Comey wrote.
Previously, Comey testified that the investigation was closed, but said that “recent developments” caused him to “supplement” his testimony.
Comey did not give a timeline for the conclusion of the investigation.
House oversight committee chairman Jason Chaffetz reacted to the news on Twitter. “Case reopened,” he commented, citing Comey’s letter.
While this should be good news, my suggestion would be not to get your hopes up in regard to it changing the election. Comey offered no timeline, and as slow as these guys move, she could long be settled into the oval office before they even start.
Comey knows he’s done a lot of damage to the FBI’s reputation, and imo this is a late and lame attempt to restore their good name. He’s wasted precious time that could have changed this country for the better by indicting her.
One thing I think we can expect in the coming days is another big hit on Donald Trump. Some female who had her butt pinched by him 30 years ago will suddenly drop from the rafters to cause him more grief and to create another distraction from the corruption of Hillary Clinton. The libs are entirely too predictable.
