Chicago PD Proposes ‘Use-of-Force’ Limits Two Days After Cop Beaten, Hospitalized.
On Friday Chicago Police Department officials proposed limiting when officers can use lethal force against suspects, asking officers to focus instead on ways to “de-escalate” the situation.
These proposals came two days after a female officer was beaten to the point of hospitalization, yet refused to use her gun against the suspect for fear of public backlash against her family and the Chicago PD. According to ABC 7, Chicago PD superintendent Eddie Johnson said,“ She thought she was going to die. She knew that she should shoot this guy, but she chose not to, because she didn’t want her family or the department to have to go through the scrutiny the next day on national news.”
Now the Chicago PD is pushing to make the use of guns even less frequent. The New York Times quoted Johnson saying, “The business of being able to de-escalate situations, I think, is paramount to what we’re going to do.”
Dean Angelo Sr. is president of the union that represents Chicago officers and he does not like the proposals. He fears they will hinder officers’ use of lethal force in time of need and lead to more instances of officer injury and death. The overwhelming trepidation that prevented the female officer from using lethal force Wednesday is a good example.
Angelo stressed that officers are not getting the gratitude they should be getting for the work they already do to save lives, and he appeared to indicate that he hopes officers continue to take whatever actions necessary to save their own lives when push comes to shove. He said:
At the end of the day, when an officer is confronted in that alley or an officer is confronted in a life-or-death situation, they are going to do what they is necessary to go home. If they getting written up for it, so be it. My concern is that these guys and girls go home to their families.
A report from a task force assembled by Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) is a driving force behind the proposed limits on use-of-force. The task force concluded their report by writing, “C.P.D.’s own data gives validity to the widely held belief the police have not regard for the sanctity of life when it comes to people of color.” It follows that part of the new proposal is a requirement that officers C.

Did you get that? Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (Obama’s old Chief of Staff) assembled a task force that suggests that their police officers “consider a suspect’s race” before drawing their guns. In case you need a PC parsing of those words, it means that if a perpetrator is black, wait until he/she gets off a few rounds in your direction before drawing your weapon (if you’re still alive, that is).
This is Chicago we’re talking about kiddies. Over 500 killings there by Labor Day; more murders in eight months than all of last year. And it’s getting worse. So, what does any good Obama acolyte do? Coddle the black shooters and hamper police “interference” by requiring that the police exhibit “Afirmative Reaction” when confronted with a black holding a gun.
I can hardly believe what I’ve read. Are we now going to ask our police to take a bullet before defending themselves when the perp is BLACK? That is not only racism, it is actively promoting Lethal Racism.
The lobbyists working for the gang bangers in Chicago are really earning their salaries.

Rahm Emanuel can do what a responsible mayor does when he looks out for the taxpayers and has the back of his employees OR….. he can do what he thinks he needs to do to get re-elected. As anyone could predict, he chose the latter. He is nothing if not a true leftist.

Every cop in Chicago should walk off the job, in particular any detail around the mayor. Leave him totally alone and see how he fares without support.
Considering the very black stats in Chicago, my method of ‘de-escalating’ the situation would be to shoot first and ask questions later.

Your comment is exactly what worries me, Kathy. If these “affirmative reaction” policies continue and multiply, we’ll soon find ourselves in a situation where manning a police department will be difficult or impossible due to the difficulty in finding people willing to volunteer as human targets. Of course, another possibility comes to mind – that of relaxing policing policies to the point that it becomes too dangerous to approach and/or arrest perpetrators. That way, we’d see crime stats go down while crime runs rampant. Politicians would point to the stats as proving their policies and win reelection.

It becomes more apparent with every passing day that Obama, and his intimate cadre of advisors, are dead set on fomenting race and religious war in the US. They know that Whites are as cowed as they will ever be peacefully, so this is the moment to strike.
The populist insurrection, no matter how imperfect the vessel of Trump receiving its support, is an indicator that the peaceful progression of their plan has fully ripened. The brain addled and indoctrinated youth can still be used as useful idiots, but not for much longer, as their economic victimization awaits only a voice of leadership with a ring of truth to it. Trump isn’t that man, and Cruz had limitations as well.
So now, on to violence, with Soros and his ilk subsidizing BLM, the neutering of Police, and diminishing local control of same. A Clinton election would continue the trend, but give it a less obvious racial leadership.

I believe that since day one of his reign, Obama has fomented turmoil between the races. He doesn’t want a shooting war ’cause he knows that blacks can’t win, but he has been “arming” them via regulations and mandates to do battle with “unjust and racist” white majority – nevermind that to achieve his ends, he must apply “unjust and racist” solutions.
One thing that it seems that everyone keeps forgetting is that among ANY group, a ratio of something like 7 to 1 will ALWAYS see the more numerous group control activities of the minority group. To attempt to make everyone “equal” in all respects is lunacy. Blacks should have equal opportunity NOT necessarily an equal outcome.
