It is simply amazing how such a tiny minority in our country….just three tenths of a percent…has forced a national debate about whether the public bathroom they visit should or should not match the gender of their plumbing.
The entire notion of gender is being questioned. It is now “bigoted” to believe we live in a “gender-binary” world. The idea that humans come in only two flavors: male and female, is seen as outdated, old-fashioned, antiquated and just plain mean.
Now we must accept “gender fluidity.” Children as young as four are being encouraged to choose their gender identity, as if it were a Halloween costume.
And according to a noted psychiatrist, that’s just about right.
As CNS News reports, Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and former psychiatrist–in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, who has studied transgendered people for 40 years, said it is a scientific fact that “transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men.
All such people, he explained in an article for The Witherspoon Institute, “become feminized men or masculinized women, counterfeits or impersonators of the sex with which they ‘identify.’”
Dr. McHugh, who was psychiatrist-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 26 years, the medical institute that had initially pioneered sex-change surgery – and later ceased the practice – stressed that the cultural meme, or idea that “one’s sex is fluid and a matter of choice” is extremely damaging, especially to young people.
Now this will REALLY whip liberals into a frenzy, but Dr. McHugh says those who wish to change their gender suffer from a psychiatric condition, not an accident of birth.
Gender dysphoria—the official psychiatric term for feeling oneself to be of the opposite sex—belongs in the family of similarly disordered assumptions about the body, such as anorexia nervosa and body dysmorphic disorder,” said McHugh.
“Its treatment should not be directed at the body as with surgery and hormones any more than one treats obesity-fearing anorexic patients with liposuction,” he said.
Perhaps the most tragic part of this new trend is the consequence. After the immense pain and hardship of transitioning, a high percentage of transgendered individuals eventually take their own lives.
When “the tumult and shouting dies,” McHugh continued, “it proves not easy nor wise to live in a counterfeit sexual garb. The most thorough follow-up of sex-reassigned people—extending over 30 years and conducted in Sweden, where the culture is strongly supportive of the transgendered—documents their lifelong mental unrest.”
“Ten to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable peers,” said McHugh.
I will probably get hammered by our liberal readers for apparently “trivializing” this issue, but here I go anyway…
When I was growing up in the ‘70’s there was a TV commercial for Chiffon margarine, which apparently tasted just like butter…but it’s not. The very last (and very famous) line from the commercial was “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature.” Apparently that is still the case.

The REAL Bruce Jenner
This issue has been metastasizing into a large topic ever since Bruce Jenner told the world he wants to be Caitlin and put on a dress. He was lauded as being brave instead of advised to seek help.
While some doctors will disagree, finally a psychiatrist has confirmed what I’ve been saying all along, and that is these people need professional mental help. I have always maintained that God doesn’t make mistakes. We’ll just use Bruce for an example. When God made Bruce, He made him a boy, but for Bruce to identify as a girl, then he’s saying God made a mistake and he wants to correct that by changing into a girl. Assuming he’s Christian and believes in God, who does he think he is to correct God?
Bruce is a guy, but if he can’t come to terms with that mentally, then he need professional help in making that adjustment. He needs to get it straight in his head who and what gender he is, instead of trying to change what God made with the use of pills, shots, wigs and makeup.
We’ve now come to a point where safety in public restrooms is a hot topic and businesses are being boycotted for not supporting the normal majority of people, primarily females. This has to stop before it makes the rest of us insane. There is absolutely no sane reason for the nation to change how we use restrooms, especially when it opens up the possibility for pedophiles to enter girls’ bathrooms.

The thing you completely ignored is that for a person to change their sexual orientation they have to go through intensive psychiatric evaluation. But let’s not bring that up or else it might invalidate your whole argument.
Oh, and until you have 100% proof that your god exists, then no one was ever created by it. But go ahead and call me names, it doesn’t bother me, because I am not the one with a problem that has to resort to name calling.

That’s quite a claim you make, Oppai, one that I’d never heard before, but then I’m sure you can provide links that support your statement, because leftist trolls are the only ones who make such unsupported claims, and you’re not one of those, now are you? Funny though, I don’t recall Chaz or Caitlin in their changeovers mentioning therapy sessions. They just started wearing different clothing, changed their hairstyles and proclaimed themselves the opposite sex.
We’re not even going to do the whole ‘God doesn’t exist’ argument with you because it’s apparent that you came here spoiling for a fight and challenging us to call you names, when that’s not what we do. Name calling is a go-to habit that libs have when they can’t argue an issue on its merits. We have conversations, exchanges of opinions, which may be something you’re not used to from the other sites you visit and drop your nuggets of wisdom (notice I didn’t say troll, although the resemblance is amazing).

Oppai, apparently, you believe that psychiatric evaluation is infallible, right? That’s why so many mass murderers have been “under the care of a psychiatrist.” Psychiatrists aren’t perfect, they aren’t omniscient, they do what they can and sometimes it just doesn’t work.
Have you heard the rumors that Caitlyn Jenner (nee Bruce) has been hinting about having second thoughts about his/her transition? They’re all over, some say she’s regretting the “transition” because of his/her Christian faith – others say no, that’s wrong. Frankly, I couldn’t care less what he/she does to mangle his/her body, that’s his/her business – just leave me out of it.
If you choose to remove God from the creation of man, you must believe that it’s been gleeful happenstance that Mother Nature or evolution has depended on males and females to continue procreation in order for our species to continue. Mother Nature or evolution has through the millennium settled on TWO sexes/genders, not 4 or 10 or 51 – TWO. That’s what it takes to continue the species and that’s why it’s been that way for eons. If you know of a way for the human race to continue without the interaction of males and females, please enlighten us poor ignorant fools.
As is my position on Caitlyn/Bruce Jenner, you’re welcome to append or remove YOUR plumbing parts as you choose, but you cannot force me to accept you as “normal.”

Canada is overburdened with all of this now. Read articles from legit. sources and read how their policies have clogged the courts. Glad to see a man with these credentials make these statements. Forgive me, but what’s next, changing beastiality laws because a few choose that lifestyle? Are they then tri-Sexual? It’s a smoke screen to keep the public looking at Jenner while other issues of greater importance are ignored. I’m a man , born a man, sadly ,molested by a man when I was 11 but that didn’t cause me not to be a man. These people need mental help!

Yes, indeed they need mental help, but that facet is being ignored as our government has grabbed it and is running full speed ahead trying to shove new directives down our throats regarding these weak minded people. I don’t think Jenner has been a ‘female’ for even a full year yet and he’s already talking about changing back into a guy. I say good, maybe the others will too and they’ll go away so we can put an end to all the nonsense before SCOTUS decides it’s okay to marry your pet.
Right now, Canada’s government is just as bad as ours, and I feel sorry for the conservatives who are forced to tolerate decisions made by Trudeau and his lefty thinking.

This whole issue is ludicrous. I wrote a piece on a very similar subject, “Which one of the 51 genders are you?” just about two weeks ago and expressed my frustration at the sheer lunacy of the leftists who seem to want every sort of devious behavior embraced as “normal.” It is encouraging to see someone with Dr. McHugh’s credentials, state unequivocally, that the activities that attempt to take what was formerly an unassailable fact – one’s gender – and make the term “subject to change” are futile and destructive.
As a society, we should see this is an extremely dangerous trend that is developing, that is to accept problems that affect .03% of our population as creating a need to affect the other 99.7% of our citizens. If “transgendered” individuals are so important that we are preparing to change laws and rest room facilities across the nation to “accommodate” them (at the same time endangering others), what other groups will be next?
The LGBT political lobby has become very powerful and influential and will stop at nothing to get favorable legislation passed that will make day-to-day life easier for them and bring down hell-fire and brimstone on those who challenge them. It’s time that we mount a push back against these “if it feels good, do it” liberals who refuse to accept societal norms as normal. I shudder to think what might be facing my grandchildren in twenty years.

It is indeed lunacy and the Supreme Court opened the door for it with their twisted ruling. This whole movement has been snowballing ever since with every kind of demand imaginable. I don’t think it’s coming from the transgenders themselves so much as it is from the libs who are so full of, among other things, righteous indignation. Once again, they’re trying to fix problems that weren’t really problems, at least for the majority of folks.

Frankly I don’t care if Bruce Jenner wants to change from a man to a woman, but I refuse to bow to the Left’s demand that we accept this as normal. Transgenders have the right not to be harmed for their abnormal behavior (as long as they don’t harm anyone else) but they don’t have the right to demand that the rest of us join them in pretending that it’s normal. How long will it be before those of us who won’t go along with the pretense are mandated to seek psychiatric counseling?
The immature mentality of leftists is such that they take great pleasure in seeing how many whoops they can make us jump through. It makes them feel powerful and important. That’s really what this and every other insane leftist crusade is all about. There’s no other logical explanation.

Agreed, CW, I expect the doctor will be announcing his retirement any day now. Meanwhile, you don’t hear the transgenders being dubbed as ‘gender dysphoric, instead we get another phobia label to add to our resume’.
I’ve just about had it up to here with the libs presuming to be in charge of society and it’s high time for some sane people to take over, or better yet, leave us the hell alone.

This is a classic case of the tail wagging the dog. American society completely abandoning all sense of morality, common sense, privacy, modesty, decency, and biological fact in order to accommodate the wishes of an extremely small number of people with a mental disorder. It’s quite literally insane.
Behavior that, just a few years ago, would have resulted in arrest and prosecution — “flashing” — is behavior that we’re now supposed to accept as a society. And make no mistake, flashing is EXACTLY what’s going to be happening.
When my daughter was small, at about the age of 4 she no longer wanted me to accompany her into the rest room. She’d developed a sense of privacy and modesty, which is utterly natural, and of course I respected her wishes, standing right outside the door, in earshot, so I’d be able to hear if she needed help, or something edgy was happening inside. I was her guardian.
My 6-year-old granddaughter made that same transition at about the same age, and when she and I go somewhere and she has to use the ladies’ room, I’m still there, right outside the door, but NOW I have even more stuff to guard her from. In fact, if someone tries to enter that room who I think is “doubtful”, they have to go through me first. I make a VERY effective door block.

When SCOTUS created new law allowing same sex marriage, we said then that it would escalate, and it has. It defies logic for all of society to cater to a handful of people, but it’s what we’ve come to expect with the libs in charge. Now Lynch is pushing the idea that it’s part of the Civil Rights Act – horse hockey!
I’m not sure if Lynch is the tool or the pusher, but she’s helping to fulfill the communist agenda, where #25 & 26 on their list of goals is to break down morality, promote porn, and present homosexuals and degenerates as healthy normal people. Meanwhile, millions of Americans are on potty patrol guarding their kids and grandkids.

If it’s such a difficult transition that it brings on suicide, why pursue it? Wiser to get help and live a longer, and normal, life.
